We are now three years into the diagnosis of Parkinsons. My husband's jaws have just started to get tight and ache. The neurologist put him on Tizanidine, which is suppose to relax the jaws---so far is not doing much. Anyone else on this---and is it working? Talking is an effort for him---so he doesn't. I guess this is one of the things that really gets to me. It is so quiet here . They say silence is golden---but it can sure be very lonely!

My husband was given tizanidine for muscle spasms in his legs. It was like a miracle med for those. Before tizanidine we would spend hours massaging his legs to relieve pain and it took care of it. He is only on a minimal dose right now because it helps him sleep, therefore I get my sleep.
