Hey folks, I went to our local bookstore and wanted to get the book "The PD Treatment book" by Dr. Ahlskog because I had seen it mentioned here. Well, it is about $40 and I just wondered, since we have been dealing with this for 16 years and I have read everything I can find about PD, is it worth spending this to get this book???? If there is something in it that will help, I will get it, otherwise, I won't. Thanks.....

I'm of the opinion that one can never know enough, so I'd get the book...BUT forty bucks is a lot. I'd get online and see if I could find a used copy or my local halfprice bookstore. Bibliofind.com used to be great but I think they got bought out and I don't know the new url....just google or bing the code number of the book (easy to find, every published book has one-you can get it by looking the title up on the computer and the number (I think it's called IBC?) will be listed). Then take that number and google/bing it and voila, the list of internet sellers, new and used, will pop up. Good luck, hope you learn something helpful if you get it.

Cindy,

I found this book to be extremely helpful. My husb's neuro recommended it.

For those of you in the Dallas area, Dr. Ahlskog will be speaking at the YOPD conference on October 23-24. http://www.youngparkinsons.org
