Took MIL to a new neurology practice--movement disorder specialist. What a difference. He's prescribing the fludrocortisone for two weeks; her bp is too low and drops 25-30 pts when she stands. Then she is to double her sinemet. I wondered if anyone has any experience with the fludrocortisone..He has said she'll get some zip back and she's so pinning her hopes on that. We've been running from one doc to another about this bp issue, and all we have gotten is patted on the head and told oh she's fine. The other neurologist never told us that a side effect of sinement is low bp.
