Got this email and I figured I share with His other friends on the forum;

Bob's blog Sunday, January 02, 2011

For those of you who missed hearing from me, Merry Christmas, happy new year, seasons greetings, and whatever else applie It seems as though my Parkinson's disease has a firm grip on my vocal chords making it more difficult than usual to communicate. Nevertheless, I will try to update all of you about what you have not heard.

For starters, Parkinson's disease has begun to affect my speech dictation as well as my daily speaking voice. Consequently, this blog may be shorter than I expected. In any event, I'll try to be comprehensive enough to get across important areas.

Probably, the most important aspect affecting my quality of life these days is manifest in my energy levels. I seem to have less each day. At the present time the medical experts overseeing my condition have convinced me that recent surgery on my intestinal tract is the culprit.

I now include a restorative therapy session in my daily routine. Every now and then therapy sessions get over three hours of my time . Thde results include neglecting my work on the book and my family as well as contact with other residents.

The book has caused administration personnel here at the retirement home to utilize my talents in several new directions. For example, I am now vice president within our town Hall meeting group. I have also accepted an assignment as a reporter for the facilities monthly newsletter. If that were not enough, I am among the small group of residents chosen to represent their interests whenever state or federal authorities are conducting routine examinations.

I am in hopes recovery from a surgery on several weeks ago will restore a prior energy level and allow me to function more efficiently. Meanwhile, hanging in there with me accompanied by an occasional whiplash or two should help a lot.

Kindest regards,
