I just finished wareing a heart monitor for a month. Went to see my cardiologist this last friday. As you may or may not know I have a pacer inplanted. My cardiologist told Sally and I that everything is fine with the heart. Pacer is doing the job that it is suppose to be doing. He knows that I have PD and he told us that he thinks that may be what is causing the trouble. Can that be? Can PD make you feel like you are having a heart attack when infact you are not? I need some answers or questions I can ask my neuro the next time I see him. Please help.......

Bob, Could be the P.D. if the heart Doctor said the implant was doing it's job then I'd question the Neurologist. You know what it feels like to have a heart attack and Parkinson's certainly can cause symptom like heart trouble, nausea, sweating, tingling in limbs, pain, muscle contraction, the whole shebang. I'd talk about it with the Neurologist. Try making a list of the warning signs and then look up everything Parkinson's Disease can show as symptoms to compare them with the Doctor. Remember just because there is a symptom listed that you haven't had before it doesn't mean sometime you won't have that symptom and if you've never noticed it before and it mimic's heart problems you'd be more apt to relate it to your heart problems than to say hey this might be the Parkinson's. Hope you find out what's going on my friend. Keep Us posted! -Al

Have anxiety attacks been ruled out, Bob?

parkinit: The only thing that has been ruled out so far is my heart. I have had anxiety attacks all along.
