Besides my PD I also have ischemic heart disease. I have a pacemaker. This morning I did my oxygen and heart rating thing and my heart rate says 32 and my oxygen says 96. The little meter is fairly new and I put new batteries in and it reads somewhat the same HR 39 and Oxygen 96. What is the problem. Is my pacer not working properly or what? I am also on two leters of oxygen.

That is a really low heart rate, I'm surprised you are still conscious! I think you should get the pacemaker checked.

Went to Wichita VA yesterday and they did check my pacer. Yep, you were right . the pacer was set to low. Now it works 100% of the time when it needs to. Of course my COPD didn't help any either.

Good, I'm glad it was not a difficult fix!

My dad had a pacemaker for something like 25 years. He was on his fourth pacemaker -- it got to be just routine to replace them.
