Just a few months ago my loved one had only a mild hand tremor, a bit of head movement, and a slight shuffling when he walked. We were enjoying a full and happy life together, making plans for retirement and going out salsa dancing every week. While the garbage company was (in my personal opinion, of course) working him too hard, he absolutely loves working.

The doctors originally thought his symptoms were PD, however then the dystonia started. He's now no longer able to work or drive. All the meds they're trying don't seem to help at all, with the exception of Lorazepam, which leaves him groggy and hardly able to stay awake.

Is anyone else on this forum dealing with X-Linked Dystonia Parkinsonism?
