Conversations of patient and caregiver:
So the admin guy for the home health care people are coming to see us today

Why?

Because they are going to send some one to stay with you and give me a break

Oookay...

Usually they will be here for the evening but sometimes I'll get them to spend the night so I can sleep down stairs and get a good night's sleep

No - I like it when you sleep next to me!

Yes well if I don't get a good night's rest sometimes, I will wear out and die and then who will take care of you?

No you won't die you're too tough to die! (starting to chuckle)

You're full of B***S****

You're a tough old broad you are never going to die! (Full on laughter)

Whatever! they are still coming! (walks away, and yes I was laughing)

Funny. Glad you can laugh about it.
Sometimes we just have to tell it like it is and don't give them a choice even though they might not like it.
