Jane, I would suggest going to the American Parkinson's Disease Association web site look for the link to the Young onset or young Parkinson's (Arlette Johnson) site. While they deal with young onset they can provide tips and insight into explaining to children about why Mom or Dad and even Grandma or Grandpa are acting or moving like they do and are sick. Along with keeping it easy to understand and less scary for them. I hope this helps put the "little guy" at ease. As you are his main daycare (baby sitters) it can't be ignored and they have a lot of experince unfortunitly with the subject.
