When muscle memory rules...

thanks much, Jim. this topic fascinates me.

many years ago there was something on television (a segment on "Sunday Morning" I believe) about a man who reversed his neurological disease by playing the harp. He started classes for others with similar illness; I remember seeing a large group playing music together. "Healing Harps" I believe they were called. healing was attributed to the vibrations of the strings resonating through the person.

also many years ago a friend told me about positive health effects of singing. the vibration of one's vocal cords has a healing effect. she said a scientific study had been done on a group of monks who chanted often; it was found to be true.
