Good news for those with tremor-dominant PD: a new focused ultrasound might be able to deliver benefits similar to DBS but without needing to cut into the skull (sorry for that visual, for the squeamish out there). Trials are underway at Univ. of Virginia, Univ. of Maryland, Canada, and Korea (possibly others, not sure). Here's the link:

Thank you for posting this. Carl's neuro is a leading researcher at UCSF, so I will ask him when we go in in January...Carl's main symptom is the tremors, which are on both sides now....
