I wish the USA had just some of the helpful items that other countries have for their disabled. I've been calling all over the U.S. for the last couple of years trying to find certain items that I've seen on You Tube. I've considered buying and having shipped here the http://www.theraposture.co.uk/beds/rotoflex

but at a total cost of about $15,000. My hubby cannot lift his legs on or off the bed and this
bed would be a godsend and save my back. I did find a similar pivot bed here in the U.S. for about $5,000 however it's not quite as good and there is nowhere I can look at it before I buy it as it's in Indiana and I'm in California. I've been told that the U.S. has such strict safety standards that it becomes too costly to manufacture these many helpful items.

My husband needs a combination of satin sheets and satin pyjamas trousers to be able to move in bed, but the trousers are difficult to deal with in the night.
I have now bought him a mid length polyester waist slip, which provides the slide effect, but is easier for toilet trips.

Those expensive beds are still not available in the US but you may want to check out www.FriendlyBeds.com for a mobility system that goes over your existing bed- even an option for people having no leg strength.
