hi everyone,
i met with a doctor freind of mine i told him about my problem. he advised to use benzhexol hydrocholide. today i sent my workmate to purchase for me the drugs, he came with benzhexol and he told me his was told that the way i'm using this drugsis not right. my question is that are these two drugs the same ? and when do i i use and how many times per day ?

I don't think benhexol is approved for PD in the US. It's an anticholingergic -- actually it's used here as an insecticide. The only reference I found that mentioned a dose was this one -- the patient was taking 1 to 2 mg three times a day. Benhexol and benhexol hydrochloride are the same thing.

What dosage are you using now? Are you taking other medications for PD as well?

Peter: I noted you have received more info under the PatientsLikeMe forum. Please be very careful in the use of some of these drugs. We are, perhaps too cautious in the U.S. but even here we make mistakes in testing and approving drugs

I have also read that anticholinergics can bring on and/or exacerbate dementia, so do some research before starting to take this.
